On Wednesday, Duff delightedly posted a snapshot of Townes Meadow Bair clad in an adorable mermaid-themed onesie, nestled comfortably on her chest. She lovingly captioned the picture, "Townsie gahhh."

The mermaid motif feels fitting, as Townes made her entrance into the world through a water birth on May 3, as revealed in Duff's recent Instagram post. Alongside captivating snapshots of the birth, Duff penned heartfelt words, expressing her anticipation turned into pure enchantment during the first days with her newborn. She lovingly shared, "I have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months, and the past five days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you have been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along, beauty."

Duff humorously noted, "Now we know why she made us wait so long … she was perfecting those cheeks!" Her pregnancy announcement came in a charmingly witty Christmas card in December, reading, “So much for silent nights.” The back featured endearing photos of the kids, accompanied by a note: “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”

With her husband, Matthew Koma (formerly Matthew Bair), Duff is parenting two daughters: Banks, aged 5, and Mae, aged 3. She also has an elder son, Luca, aged 12, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.

Reflecting on the joys and challenges of raising four children, Duff recently shared on Instagram, "4 kids is a truly wild choice. And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear, 'Mom Mom Mama Mommy Mooooom,' just know this only works because of you."
